Visitor Entry Tax
To enter Bonaire, you have to pay a Visitor Entry Tax. This is a replacement of what was previously known as the ‘Room Tax’ and the ‘Rental Car Tax’. This costs $75,- per person (children up to 12 years $10,- per person) regardless of how long you stay on the island. It is best to request this in advance and pay with iDEAL/Wero via the following link: https://tourismtax.bonairegov.com.
They also ask in which place you’re staying. They don’t know Summer Village, so select ‘Other/ Different’ and then enter Summer Village.
Are you going island hopping or on vacation during your stay? Please note that the QR-code that you receive, is only valid for one month. Is it expired when you return to Bonaire? Then you have to pay the Tax again for a new QR-code.
Do you have a sedula? Then you can go through this check on presentation of your identification and you do not have to pay. Are you a resident of one of the other 5 islands that previously belonged to the Netherlands Antilles? Then the Visitor Entry Tax is $10,- per person.
